I was very pleased with my stay at this nice hotel. The hotel is well located in the central area of fort cochin ideally placed within walking distance of all the sights, ferry to ernakulum (approx 20mins walk) and restaurants and cafes but it is very quiet. It is nice inside with a heritage feel with wooden furniture and the reception staff were very helpful including booking me an airport transfer from the hotel early in the morning. The room was large and well appointed with kettle, tea and coffee and good sized shower. I stayed here three nights and always felt safe as a solo female traveller and would go back.

We stayed at Hotel Arches, Fort Cochin in late March, 2025. Very nice staff and a great location for easy walking around the town. Room #202 was a pleasant, clean, large-enough room with a large bed, bedside tables and lights, 2 rattan chairs with a table, a wardrobe and hangers, a luggage shelf, a refrigerator, and a long dresser. Wet bathroom, but the shower curtain helped to keep most of the water away from the rest of the room. Nice toiletries. Daily cleaning if you want it. 2 bottles of water a day.

Our visit to Hotel Arches was only brief as we just had one night in Cochin before going to the airportto continue our travels. The hotel was very clean, the room comfortable and the situation ideal for sightseeing. We also used the restaurant for two meals and found it clean and good value with tasty food. Although we left the hotel to early in the morning to go to breakfast, the hotel kindly packed us a very simple packed breakfast to take with us.

Friendly staff Location Bed Rooftop breakfast Restaurant Noting other reviews- showers do run cold - but only initially, then after couple minutes really hot. No lift is no problem as 3rd floor is top floor Breakfast officially starts at 8, but can get in little earlier if necessary Our fridge was off - fitted new one that day Power goes off now & again but literally for a minute max If you need help - ask! Staff very responsive

The property is well located and the rooms are well equipped. The attached restaurant is fabulous and serves scrumptious North Indian fare. The location is the real star here though - you’re literally a walk away from every possible destination and there’s great Uber connectivity in case you want to travel somewhere further away. This is, in our experience, probably the best experience you can have on a budget in the area.
